After graduating in law, Sarolta studied English law at the London School of Economics and Political Science and then obtained a master’s degree in commercial and corporate law at the University College London. She holds the Hungarian brokerage certificate and an investor relations qualification, a green finance expert having the ESG Advisor qualification from EFPA (European Financial Planning Association).

Prior to establishing Várszegi Law Firm, Sarolta co-headed EY Legal Services as an associate partner. Prior to EY, she worked for eight years as a trainee lawyer and then a lawyer in the Budapest offices of international law firms such as Clifford Chance and White & Case in the areas of corporate law, M&A and capital markets.

Her areas of expertise are capital markets and corporate law: public and private capital markets transactions, issuance of shares and bonds, listings on regulated markets and Xtend, real estate investment trusts (REITs), MRP schemes, M&A transactions and corporate restructurings.

Sarolta is a member of the Issuers Committee of the Budapest Stock Exchange.
